Disable Entire's WiFi

In some situations, especially for Japan users who would like to comply with local rules, but also for manufacturers who would like to disable configuration, there is an option to completely disable Entire’s WiFi hotspot and WiFi features. This is done via SD card configuration file.

Note this will completely disable all user access to configuration or control via WiFi.

Disable WiFi
  • Use any microSD card
  • Insert SD card to PC or MAC
  • Create new TXT file in the root of the file structure
  • Rename TXT file to “wifidisable.txt
  • Remove SD card from the PC
  • Insert SD card to the Entire (Entire must be ready -> status LED BLUE)
  • Entire will blink WHITE+GREEN
  • Wifi will be then disabled and not turned ON on any new power-on
  • Remove SD card and remove TXT file for next use

SD card with “wifidisable.txt” needs to be used only once, no need to be inserted in the Entire to keep WiFi off. Entire rememeber this in own internal memory and keeps WiFi off until not enabled back.
DO NOT LEAVE SD CARD WITH THIS FILE IN THE ENTIRE FOR NORMAL USAGE, IT MAY DESTROY INTERNAL MEMORY.

Re-enable WiFi

Change static IP address
  • Use any microSD card
  • Insert SD card to PC or MAC
  • Create a new TXT file in the root of the file structure
  • Rename TXT file to “customip.txt
  • open the file and insert desired IP address (for example):
    • 192.168.1.123
  • Save file content
  • Remove the SD card from the PC
  • Insert SD card to the Entire (Entire must be ready -> status LED BLUE)
  • ENTIRE will light GREEN if the file was read properly
  • ENTIRE will light RED for 1 second if there was an error in reading/parsing of IP address
  • If ENTIRE does not react by any blinking, the file was not recognized
  • IP will be changed permanently, until not changed via this procedure
  • Remove the SD card and remove TXT file for next use

SD card with “customip.txt” needs to be used only once. IP will be loaded automatically after reboot and also will be re-loaded after the firmware update.
