Minimal firmware
Make sure your MavPorter is running at least FW 21 or later! Initial versions of the firmware may cause issues.
Working modes #
BOOT
After each power up of the MavPorter is launched internal boot application. This application waits for instruction for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds will MavPorter launch main application.
Bootloder is used only in emergency situations where main firmware is corrupted. Firmware update is done via standard main application.
- During boot (3 seconds) STATUS LED is steady blue
- During boot will MavPorter listen to MavLink data only in PRT1
- Boot audrate is the same as configured by PRT1_BAUD
- In case of firmware corruption will Boot use baudrate of 500 000 bps
- You can change Boot baudrate by pressing of backside button hidden in the MavPorter body (accessigble with needle / wire)
- Single press of button switch MavCam baudrate to one of three options. Actual baudrate is presented by STATUS LED:
- 1) Blue steady – PRT1_BAUD setting or 500 000
- 2) Green steady – baudrate 230 400
- 3) Blue+Green – baudrate 115 200
MAIN APPLICATION
During main application is all configuration done via MavLink. By default are baudrates configured as:
- PRT1 -> 921 600
- PRT2 -> 921 600
- PRT3 -> 500 000
- PRT4 -> 115 200
- PRT5 -> 230 400
Emergency situations #
Reset configuration
In case of lost connection to the MavPorter due to wrong/unknown baudrate configuration, denying of own data or other settings, you can re-set MavPorter to default settings.
- Power up MavPorter
- Wait until boot ends and main application starts (blue blink or green blink)
- Press button on the back of MavPorter by needle / wire
- STATUS LED will start blinking blue/green quickly
- Keep button pressed until STATUS LED will get dark
- Reboot MavPorter
- Now MavPorter is set to default settings
