Link wireless configuration

Dual band mode #

By default is AIR Commander Link using “dual band” system of wireless connection. “Dual band” means, that Link TX is synchronized with Link RX and in predefined intervals they switch channels. If this synchronization is not perfect, range may be limited significantly.

👎 In dual band mode, you can have only one set of Link TX and RX at time.
👎 In dual band mode, you should never power toggle Link Transmitter after initial synchronization.
👎 In dual band mode, you should always keep TX and RX as close as possible during initial synchronization!

👍 Dual band mode brings you better performance when your drone transmit video stream in 2.4GHz band. This is mostly only case of DJI drones.

Single channel mode #

In single channel mode, Entire does not use any time synchronization. Transmitter and Receiver are always in sync, does not matter if you will power toggle Transmitter or Receiver during flight.

👎 Range may be slighly lowered compared to dual band mode.

👍 You do not care about power up synchroznization.
👍 You can select physical wireless channel manually.

Configuration of wireless mode #
