Download & install QGC #
DOWNLOAD
Select version you would like to install, click to “Assets”.
For PC installation select QGroundControl-installer.exe
For Android (HereLink or SIYI) select QGroundControl.apk

(do not use v5.0 RC 1/2/3)
QGC camera control usage #
LAUNCH QGC
- Launch QGC in PC or RC system
CONTROL PANEL
- Once program is connected to the drone (connection is done automatically), you will see control panel for the camera on the right
PHOTO / VIDEO
- By icons of Photo / Video camera you can switch between Movie and Photo mode of the RED button below. When red button is pressed, TAG-E will trigger photo or start/stop movie recording.
- Under trigger button you will amount of currently triggered photos, or length of recording of the movie.
OTHER CONTROLS
- For other configuration, click to wheel under trigger button
- QGC will show new window with camera configuration
Troubleshooting #
NO CAMERA CONTROL
- Camera must be ONLINE for setup window (TAG-E LED must be Green)
NO CAMERA CONTROL
- Check if you see TAG-E’s status messages via QGC message window
- Click to “Message icon” on the top left corner of QGC
- Reboot TAG-E and wait for Blue or Green LED
- Check if TAG-E sends it’s init messages
- If no messages are receieved, check wiring / baudrate settings
NO CAMERA CONTROL
- I see status messages, but have no camera control
- Check your Ardupilot version, update to 4.6.0 or later
- CAM1_TYPE parameter should be set to 5 or 6 (both should be working properly)
