ARRI ALEXA Mini (LF) control

Camera connection #

ARRI cameras are controlled via WIFI connection. Wired connection is under development.
Camera must be set to “hotspot mode” (Host) and Entire then connects to the Camera WiFi nework.

Install ARRI control upgrade #

STEP 1

  • Open the Entire’s web control page, then MENU and Miscellaneous.
  • Swipe and click to Installed licenses.
License-no-installed

STEP 2

  • Click to any row, request code is the not related to row you select.
  • From new window you can simply copy text of the request code or you can also click to “Send request code by email”.
  • We will generate your license code immediately once received and respond your email with license code.

STEP 3

  • Copy license code from our response email to the license manager.
  • Click to INSTALL

    • License code is locked to one device (depending on request code).

Camera settings #

STEP 1

Turn the camera ON and enter MENU, select SYSTEM

STEP 2

In submenu navigate to WiFi configuration

STEP 3

Enter and configure the WiFi mode to:

  • MODE -> HOST
  • Host Password -> arriarri
    • (password is “arriarri” by default)
  • Region -> Europe
  • IP MODE – Static
  • Static IP -> keep default
    • Static IP must NOT be set to 192.168.153.1

Camera is now ready for connection!

Entire settings #

STEP 1

  • Open Entire’s configuration (follow this manual if you’re not sure)
  • Open MENU -> “Control mode” and select mode WiFi

STEP 2

  • Open WiFi Connection

STEP 3

  • In new window click to NEW SCAN and wait until scan is done
  • Make sure the Entire is close to the Camera’s WiFi antenna!
  • Once list of networks is updated, Select MINI-xxxxx or MINI-LF-xxxxx network and click CONNECT

STEP 4

  • In next window fill camera’s password.
  • Default password is “arriarri”
  • Click to CONNECT

STEP 4

  • Now will ENTIRE connect cameras WiFi hotspot.
  • Users’s WiFi will now be disabled temporarily. Your
    phone will be disconnected. Entire’s own hotspot is everytime disabled during connection to some network. Once connection is done, hotspot will be enabled back.
  • Connection to the WiFi can take some time, this process is signalized by blinking of the STATU LED Green/Blue quickly.

STEP 5

  • Once blinking stops (ENTIRE gets back BLUE), WiFi hotspot should get back for user and ENTIRE will start camera initialization.
  • If all is set properly, camera will get recognized in approx. 10-20 seconds. ENTIRE will set STATUS LED GREEN once connection is done properly.
  • You are now ready to control your camera!

First is ENTIRE’s feature name, which you have to trigger via SBUS / AirCommander Link or MavLink or etc. and second is assigned camera feature which will be executed on the camera.
